WE KNOW WE HAVE A FRIEND IN JESUS ALWAYS!
HOWEVER, WE LIKE TO HAVE A FRIEND THAT IS SPECIAL, SOMEONE WHO CHANGES YOUR LIFE YOUR LIFE JUST BY BEING A PART OF IT. SOMEONE WHO MAKES YOU LAUGH UNTIL YOU CAN'T STOP, SOMEONE WHO MAKES YOU BELIEVE THERE REALLY IS SOME GOOD IN THE WORLD. SOMEONE WHO CONVINCES YOU THAT THERE REALLY IS AN UNLOCKED DOOR JUST WAI…

As a child, we all played a game called, Tag. It was a fun juvenile game that all children, rich or poor could and would play. Some one was it and everyone else would try to run away from that individual. If the individual caught you and hit you, you were it! You would run and run, and hit each other for the longest time. No one would get angry or upset. Sometimes you might be hit harder than usual, and though it would hurt you, you still did not complain or tell anyone. Inwardly, you might make…

Regardless of how old we are we can learn from each other, if we are willing to take the time to listen, and observe. "Bridging the Gap"...WE CAN DO IT!
I've learned that I like my teacher because she cries when we sing "Silent Night".
Age 5
I've learned that our dog doesn't want to eat my broccoli either.
Age 7
I've learned that when I wave to people in the country, they stop what they are doing and wave back.
Age 9
I've learned that just when I get my room the way I like it, Mom makes me cl…

Guard Your Heart From Emotional Ties
Wednesday, 20 May 2009 10:46 Joyce Strong SpiritLed Woman - SpiritLed Woman
As her fingers eased over the piano keys, repeating gently the notes of the last chord of "Purify My Heart," Karen knew in her spirit that many had been touched by the worship this evening. A lingering smile sent her way from Wes, the worship team leader, confirmed it.
Karen slid quietly off the piano bench and headed for the music office. She glanced at her watch.…

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. Col 2:9-10
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who begun a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil 1:6
Why not make a list for yourself of the wonderful attributes of God. Use the alphabet as your guide. Write down as many names as you can find for God that begin with these letters. A-Abba, Alpha, Anchor, Aut…

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day,
I thank You for my being able to see
and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are
a forgiving God and
an understanding God.
You have done so much for me
and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything
I have done, said or thought
that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe
from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day
with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each…

'Twas the night before Jesus cameand all through the houise not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on the shelf with care in hopes that Jesus would not come there. The children were dressing to crawl into bed, not once ever kneeling or bowing a head, and mom in her rocker with baby on her lap was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.
When out of the East there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew l…

After 17 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to
take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She
said, 'I love you, but I know this other woman loves
you and would love to spend some time with you.'
* * *
The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit
was my MOTHER, who has been alone for 20 years,
but the demands of my work and my two boys had
made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for
dinner and a movie.

Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble
Come and the years approach when you will say, I find no pleasure in them.
A life without God can be lonely and hopeless regardless of age. A life centered on God is fulfilling. There will be a time in your life when you will become sick, disabled and/or handicapped, which will limit your enjoyment of life. As a young woman start this year by getting excited about having a closeness with God. When you…

There is no one else in the whole wide world like you. I'm sure you have heard that before, but I wonder if you understand how true it is and how precious you are to God. We are not always treasured on this earth. Our relationships with our parents or friends or spouses can lead us to believe that we may be unique, but that it's not a good thing. So often we are encouraged to blend in, don't rock the boat, don't be different, but I say, rock that boat, and be who you are. . . .
When you hold ba…

Understanding What God Has Given
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1 by Os Hillman
"We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us." 1 Corinthians 2:12
God desires for us to know what He has freely given to us. One of the responsibilities of the Holy Spirit is to reveal His plans and purposes to us. They may be hidden for a time, but if we seek Him with our whole heart, we can know what He has given to us.
John th…

THE BUMPS IN THE ROAD
I WAS DRIVING down a bumpy country road when I SAW a bag of
cement beside the road. It APPEARED to have fallen off a delivery
truck as it hit one of the bumps in the rough road.
Being a person who DOES NOT LIKE to SEE anything wasted, I
stopped to PICK it up, to my surprise, I DISCOVERED it WAS NOT
SOFT and LIMBER, as I HAD EXPECTED but HAD SOLIDIFIED into a
usless piece of SOLID cement.
Often our LIVES ARE LIKE THAT bag of cement. They TAKE on
SHAPES THAT WERE NOT INTEN…
